A few CSE basics before you start
The Career Service Examination–Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) is administered by the Civil Service Commission at Professional and Subprofessional levels. Passing establishes the corresponding civil service eligibility, subject to the rules and qualifications for government positions.
What is covered in the Professional CSE?
The current CSC scope lists General Information, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, and Analytical Ability. Analytical topics include word analogy, symbolic logic or abstract reasoning, identifying assumptions and drawing conclusions, and data interpretation.
What is covered in the Subprofessional CSE?
The current CSC scope lists General Information, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, and Clerical Ability. Clerical Ability covers filing and spelling.
What is included in General Information?
The current CSC scope identifies the Philippine Constitution, R.A. 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and Environment Management and Protection.
What is the passing grade?
CSC states that an examinee should obtain a general rating of at least 80.00 to pass the test.
Does Teacher Abi publish an official CSC reviewer?
No. Teacher Abi is an independent educational resource. Our CSE materials are designed around the examination scope and official information published by the Civil Service Commission, but they are not issued, endorsed, or accredited by CSC.
