Why are some resources marked coming soon?

Infer the membership rule before testing the options

A group-membership item gives examples that belong together. Your task is to identify their shared rule and select the only option that also belongs.

Inventory: count objects, lines, regions, endpoints, and enclosed spaces.
Relationships: compare inside/outside, left/right, and count-to-position links.
Invariance: ignore rotation or size when the structure is preserved.
Verification: state one rule that includes exactly three choices.

A figure is a bundle of features

Do not name a pattern after noticing only one change. Record each feature as if it were a separate moving part.

Count: objects, sides, marks, compartments
Place: corner, ring position, inside or outside
Direction: rotation, reflection, reversal
State: fill, size, line type, shape identity
The ACET trap: a wrong choice often continues the most obvious rule and quietly violates a second rule.
THE C.P.D.S. METHOD

Scan in the same order every time

  1. C — Count each kind of component separately.
  2. P — Position distinctive components on a clock face, grid, or path.
  3. D — Direction by tracking one unmistakable point—not the entire figure.
  4. S — State changes such as fill, size, line style, and identity.
  5. Verify: test the complete rule against every frame and every option.

One figure can contain two independent clocks

  1. The navy marker advances one quarter-turn clockwise.
  2. The gold marker advances one quarter-turn counterclockwise.
  3. The number of center bars alternates one, two, one.

Yes. Extra lines may pass through it, but every target segment must still be traceable with the same junctions and endpoints.

How do I solve a missing tile?

Trace every line, boundary, and shading pattern entering the blank from all sides. The correct tile continues all of them.

What should I check last?

Verify the least obvious condition—usually handedness, a short branch, a crossing rather than a junction, or shading parity.
