Preparing for the ACET is difficult when you do not know whether the real problem is content knowledge, speed, reading load, unfamiliar reasoning formats, or endurance. This free Teacher Abi ACET diagnostic gives you a structured starting point before you spend weeks reviewing everything at once.

The assessment contains 265 original questions across seven timed sections. It is deliberately full length because the purpose is not only to count what you know. It also looks for pacing problems, unanswered items, accuracy under pressure, and sections where you slow down.

Diagnostic first, simulation later

A diagnostic and a simulated ACET answer different questions. The diagnostic asks, What does the student know, and where are the gaps? A simulation asks, After review, can the student handle an exam that resembles the ACET testing experience? Use this diagnostic before focused preparation. Use the full simulation later to check readiness.

Because Ateneo does not publish a complete current test blueprint, this is an independent preparation resource rather than an official reproduction.

What your result will show

After completing all seven sections, you will receive an overall score, broad section-level results, and time information. The free report does not reveal competency-level weaknesses, individual mistakes, the answer key, or missed-item solutions. Those detailed reports are reserved for guided and paid versions.

Why General Knowledge and an essay are not part of the scored diagnostic: General Knowledge remains useful as optional supplementary practice, but current evidence does not support treating it as a core scored section here. Recent student information also indicates that the essay was submitted separately rather than written during the timed examination session.

How to take the diagnostic

  1. Set aside approximately three hours and ten minutes in a quiet place.
  2. Prepare scratch paper and pencils, and silence notifications.
  3. Begin a section only when you are ready; its timer cannot be paused.
  4. Skip difficult items when necessary and return before submitting.
  5. Complete all seven sections in the same browser so the combined result can be saved.

If you cannot finish in one sitting, your completed sections and current progress remain saved in the same browser. Resume from this post when you are ready.

What to do after the diagnostic

Begin with the lowest-scoring section, use the ACET coverage guide to choose what to review, and then take the corresponding individual section test again. Once the main gaps have improved, move to a full ACET simulation to evaluate overall readiness.
