How to take this test
Twenty-five questions in ten minutes gives you only about 24 seconds per item. This section is supposed to feel fast.
- Read for the relationship, not every word. Identify the rule, condition, conclusion, or pattern the question is testing.
- Eliminate aggressively. If an option clearly violates the information given, remove it and keep moving.
- Do not over-prove an easy answer. Once one choice follows cleanly and the others fail, answer and move on.
- Separate what must be true from what could be true. Many reasoning errors come from treating a possibility as a certainty.
- Use a tiny sketch when needed. For order, grouping, or relationship problems, a quick symbol or sequence is often faster than rereading prose.
- Protect the last minute. Do not leave easy items unanswered because one difficult puzzle consumed your time.
These are general standardized-test strategies, not official Ateneo test instructions.
