You want to buy a cupcake worth ₱50.00 but you don’t have a ₱50 pesos bill your wallet. What you have are two ₱20 peso bills, a few ₱5 peso and ₱10 peso coins. What will you do?

You can combine your bills and coins to come up with any amount. In this example, you can combine your ₱20 peso bills with some of your coins to be able to buy the cupcake. Here are some combinations that you can make:




There are so many ways that you can combine your bills and coins to come up with an amount. The important thing is that you are able to add so that you can check if you have the right combination.
