Filipino - Pagbibigay ng Angkop na Wakas

Ang Espada sa Bato - Modyul

This is an adapted / translated story of how Arthur became the High King of all of England. It is my take on The Sword in the Stone.  This contains short exercises on vocabulary, reading comprehension, dialogue writing all in Filipino. It also has a short unit on verbs in the past tense (Pandiwa na nasa aspektong Perpektibo). I have also included the link to two worksheets on Simple Past Tense. Si Dinong Takot sa Dilim - Modyul

Here is another module targetting Grade 1-2 Filipino readers. It is a story about a boy who was afraid of the dark but had an opportunity to face his fear. Language - Kinds of Nouns

There are three kinds of nouns: Concrete nouns - these are things  that you can experience through your five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. Ex.          The teacher is writing on the board with a chalk . Abstract nouns - these are names of quality, action, or state. Abstract nouns refer to ideas that we can neither see or touch.  Ex.          The wisdom shared to me was enlightening. Collective nouns - these are names that represent a collection or a group of people, animals, or things. Ex.          A bunch of bananas are on the counter. Worksheets to follow.

Filipino 5 - Alamat ng Sampaguita Modyul

In order to understand a story, one must be able to understand its characters. Being able to describe and explain the main character's attitude and behavior is crucial in understanting the story line. Science - Reusable or Waste

One of the first lessons in science (Grade 5) is recognizing whether a material is reusable or waste. It is important because it teaches the students to identify items in their households that they can still use or should be disposed off.  In the Philippines, households do not normally segregate their trash so finding a place for these garbage has become a huge problem. If every household learned to reuse or recycle material, then there would be a substantial reduction in the amount of garbage produced.   Here are some worksheets that can help your child identify whether a material can still be reused or should already be thrown in the trashcan: Science 5 - Reusable or waste? Reading 4 - Identifying the Setting of the Story

One way to better understand a story is to identify the setting. This pertains to the "where" and "when" of the story that one is reading. Most of the time, the setting is already written in the text.
