This free Teacher Abi UPCAT simulated exam gives students a complete timed practice experience covering Language Proficiency, Science, Mathematics, and Reading Comprehension. It contains 250 original multiple-choice questions arranged using the section lengths and time limits commonly used in established UPCAT simulations. The questions include English and Filipino language items, scientific reasoning, algebra and geometry, prose and poetry, tables, maps, graphs, diagrams, and functional reading materials.
A simulated exam serves a different purpose from a diagnostic test. A diagnostic helps identify particular skills that need review. This simulation asks you to sustain attention across four timed sections, decide when to skip a difficult item, manage the right-minus-one-fourth scoring rule, and maintain accuracy as the test progresses. Use it after completing at least some competency review, or take it now as a realistic baseline before the UPCAT.
What is included in this UPCAT simulation?
The exam contains four timed sections taken in order:
- Language Proficiency: 70 questions in 40 minutes, including English and Filipino vocabulary, grammar, usage, sentence completion, analogies, error identification, and paragraph organization.
- Science: 60 questions in 50 minutes across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth and Space Science, with conceptual, applied, graphical, and diagram-based items.
- Mathematics: 60 questions in 75 minutes covering number sense, algebra, functions, geometry, statistics, probability, counting, and applied problems.
- Reading Comprehension: 60 questions in 50 minutes using English and Filipino informational, literary, argumentative, data-based, and functional-reading sources.
How should I take the simulated exam?
Set aside approximately four hours in a quiet place. Prepare scratch paper and pencils, silence notifications, and avoid opening reviewers while the exam is running. Start each section only when you are ready because its timer cannot be paused. Inside an active section, you may answer in any order, use the numbered answer sheet to skip an item, and return to blanks before submitting. Once submitted, a section is locked, just as an answer sheet would no longer be available after collection.
How is the adjusted score calculated?
The simulation reports correct, wrong, and blank answers. Its adjusted score follows the common right-minus-one-fourth practice formula: each correct answer earns one point, each wrong answer deducts one-fourth point, and each blank answer has no deduction. This does not calculate a University Predicted Grade and cannot predict admission. It is a practice measurement intended to help you evaluate pacing, accuracy, and section-level priorities.
Will I see the answer key and explanations?
The free simulation does not reveal the answer key or worked explanations after submission. This prevents the same attempt from becoming an answer-memorization exercise and preserves the test for later use. Your results show performance by section so you can return to the Teacher Abi coverage guide, diagnostics, and competency reviewers before taking another simulation.
Are these official UPCAT questions?
No. Every item in this simulation is original. The exam was designed to reflect commonly observed UPCAT-style competencies, formats, pacing, and reasoning demands without copying questions from UP, commercial review books, or tutorial centers. Teacher Abi is not affiliated with the University of the Philippines. Always follow the latest instructions from the UP Office of Admissions and the information printed on your test permit.
What should I do after completing the exam?
Begin with your lowest-scoring section, but do not stop at the section label. Open the UPCAT Coverage Guide and identify the underlying competencies that felt slow, unfamiliar, or uncertain. Use the free diagnostics for a more detailed readiness breakdown, complete the corresponding reviewers and practice sets, then return to another timed mixed assessment. The goal is not merely to raise a score once; it is to improve accuracy and decision-making across different versions of the same competencies.
