Equal ideas should have matching structures
Items in a series, two sides of a comparison, and words following paired conjunctions should use the same grammatical pattern.
Series
Keep all items as nouns, gerunds, infinitives, adjectives, clauses, or matching verb forms.
Paired conjunctions
Balance the words after either/or, neither/nor, and not only/but also.
Underline the joined pieces
Problem: “The workshop teaches planning, to draft, and revision.”
Recognize: The three objects are a gerund, an infinitive, and a noun.
Do it fast: Put all three in one form: planning, drafting, and revising.
Why it works
Once the connectors are located, comparing the grammatical shapes on both sides exposes the mismatch.

Not parallel: You may either submit the form online or in-person delivery.
