Shared structures

A cell wall, chloroplasts, and a dominant central vacuole strongly indicate a plant cell.

3. Wilting

Water leaves the central vacuole, turgor pressure falls, and plant tissue becomes less rigid.

4. Selective transport

The membrane allows some substances to cross more readily than others.

5. Photosynthesis

Chloroplasts capture light energy to help form glucose.
